No. CBJ’s preference will be a young star in return. A 1 for 1 most likely. Someone with term left and similar in age. Similar to Seth Jones for Ryan Johansson.

Detroit is in no position in their rebuild to trade for him. On a side note, I think the price will be more than he's worth anyways.

I'd take Cholowski out because they hav no need for him. With Columbus's depth on D Cholowski might be 2nd or 3rd pair on their AHL team. I have no idea what a fair PLD trade is and it varies wildly depending on who you're talking to. But it really doesn't matter because like DEADWINGSV2 said its already to much for Detroit to give up.

I'm a fan of both teams, this is too much for the Wings to give up. It's really hard to put a value on these players though in completely different organizations. Training, lifestyle, coaching... Everything is completely different.

I think Glendening would actually be the player Torts would swoon over, but his opinion doesn't play too much into Kekalainen's decision.

My best guess at an actual hockey trade with the Wings would be Glenny and Hronek for PLD. That said, I think the Wings should wait for Veleno. I saw him play in the Red and White games last season (an awesome game to go to for free stuff btw, my buddy got a stick signed by Chase Pearson) Veleno and Seider definitely stood out from the rest of the prospects. I think Veleno's floor is Athanasiou, but I think his ceiling Tavares.

I don't like any deals I can come up with for Detroit though. I think a better trade partner would be Colorado for something including Kadri, or with the Lightning. Both of those teams have better pieces that the Jackets could actually use now to make a deal.

I think they'd be super hesitant to move hronek. Hes their best defensman and its not even close. Moving a winger I can see though, there is organizational depth there atleast. I'm not holding my breath on velano. I think he has some good tools but Idk if he'll ever have enough offensive production to be that 2nd center behind Larkin.

That's why CBJ would want him over every1 else. The C is covered if they get Glenny as their #3 and move Tex up to #1, and they probably get similar offense to PLD thus far out of Hronek + Glenny. Neither team really wants to make the deal which I think it's pretty fair, but it's not gonna happen.

IMHO Detroit should be trying to get a goalie out of Columbus if anything.

I wouldn't put it passed me to be wrong about a player, cuz I thought Boyd Devereuax was gonna be good. That said, I've seen a few hockey games, and IMHO Veleno is a stud. If it means anything I wathced the Red vs White games on YouTube this year, and I thought Brome was a stud in them. I think I'm not too far off when I call Veleno a stud, I don't care who you compare him to, he's gonna be a good NHL player.
