Kakko and Chytil straight up for Dubois no picks either way. Fair? It's not unrealistic to think Kakko turns out to be a better player than Dubios.

I don't think this would work for NYR due to cap issues on the performance bonus thing. We are already being penalized for it and - in theory - have 5mil cap space. Probably need to add Strome to the trade, or someone else

KK still has star upside, I wouldn't offer much beyond him. I'm not that scared off a player because their teenage rookie year wasn't great. PLD was still in junior in his D+1.

It's an overpay and you don't see it as you supremely underrated KK. KK is still a stud prospect and as valuable as a second overall. He played in the NHL and didn't dominate so his value seems lower vs if he just played junior people would be high on him.

So would you trade a second over all for PLD? Perhaps. But not much more
