Fla has the best goalie prospect in the world in Spencer Knight and that is a massive overpay for Yandle. Moore snd a 3rd is fine.

Detroit wouldn't have any interest in Moore since he's not an upgrade over the players currently in our lineup, and we could sign a better player for cheaper in free agency next offseason. To make it worth while for Detroit, Boston would need to give up a higher draft pick. I think we'd want at least a 3rd round pick back with Moore to start the conversation.

Detroit passes, And reportedly there was a 3 way deal between Florida, Boston and the New York islanders sending Keith Yandle to Boston and he nixed the deal. Doubt Yandle wants to get moved and doubt he's going home to Boston anytime soon.

IDK that I'd say he's the best goalie prospect in the world, but he's high end.

So you're basing your opinion on one tournament? If he's hands down best in the world for goalie prospects, how does he not win best goalie in the NCAA last year? Hell he even plays on one of the premier teams in Hockey East that's produces NHL talent. I'm not saying he won't be good, but calling him the best goalie prospect in the world is pretty aggressive.

No I wouldn't. Swayman just carried Maine Hockey for 3 years and actually made them relevant in Hockey East. You know how their doing this year without Swayman? On pace to have one of the worst seasons in a while and allow over 100 goals on the year. Am I saying Swayman is better than Knight? no, but Swayman is a hell of a prospect in his own right. He just doesn't get the shiny object effect because he wasn't a 1st rounder. Interestingly enough there are only 10 goalies in the NHL that were drafted in the first round. Of those 10, only 4 turned out to be elite level goalies.
