I usually strongly disagree with you. But you’re totally right. It’s cup or bust for Colorado this year and even though I’d take Nurse over Teows, but there’s no way I see nurses style fitting in to their system. And we’d probably wreck Teows anyway.

Toews is a 1st pairing Dman signed to a steal of a contract who has started the season on fire with 2g 1a in 3 games, and played 26 minutes last game including Pk time. There's absolutely no way Sakic trades him.

As for the package of misfits you're planning to send Colorado, do you really think Avs have any interest in Turris? Khaira? Those guys have zero appeal. Nurse might be useful in some capacity, but he is a much worse fit than Toews, who simply fits this team like a glove with the style he plays.

i think its 50/50, JPP has nice upside but still looks lost out there imo, brown is a really nice penalty killer and the sens throw that third line out there a bunch
