yeah, im okay with losing if the game goes well, but when one really bad call results in a loss thats when I question the NHLs system

Its time for change, a review system is needed for calling penalties and a challenge system like with the NBAs should be implemented

I haven’t personally seen the call, I’ll edit this comment in a minute once I do. (Haven’t actually found it yet if you know a link or Twitter account)

As for the review I agree it’s an annoyance but as other fans are discussing in a forum thread rn; there have been a ton of weak calls right now - maybe it’s the rustiness in the refs too or someone told them too but in all these games that I’ve watched so far I’ve seen some unnecessary and brutal calls (for all teams involved). Other fanbases have said the same.

I think they definitely need more measures in place for the playoffs but I don’t know how I’d feel about an intensive 5 minute review over a call every game. Or more. Playoffs it’s deserving imo, but regular season could become a mess (as to why many NBA fans and non fans hate their fourth quarter which dilutes into a constant call/ timeout/ pause quarter which becomes long and drawn out with nothing actually happening).

I wanna know who the **** that ref was cause he blind as **** lul.

The system I propose is simple. Teams can challenge 1 play challenge a game. If they win the challenge the penalty goes away, they lose the challenge they lose their time out. Basically a gamble like how goals are challenged and if wrong pp for other team. This makes it where a coach has to be 100% certain the call was wrong as such with goalie interference.

How does Tony D help this team? He's extremely talented, but he's so bad defensively he's a net negative player

it was an absolute joke, no other way to put it, the ref also called it late. marner penalty was absolutely atrocious as well, pathetic. larsson loses his stick on the pk and starts grabbing everyone and nothing, the game itself was painful to watch in general and truth be told i dont think either of them deserved to win but for the game to be decided on that bs is ridiculous. and for anyone ignorant leaf hater that comes in here and tries to say "typical leafs fans complaining about the reffing when the refs are always on their side." leafs are bottom 3 in the NHL since 16-17 in powerplay opportunities.

I think NYR say yes. 6.9M isn't bad for a legit winger who can score. Kakko is going to take a few years to develop into his real potential Bread/Nylander/Laffy would be a nasty line IMO Folled by Kreids/Zibby/Buch. I'd sign up for this

They lose there second best dman and second best prospect for a guy with much less potential and a prospect who might be good and might not then a cap dump

ADA is primarily offensive minded and Fox fills his void on the PP better. He isn't reliable defensively and is clearly a head case at times... for instance in TB/AZN and now benched the last 2 games. But yes he is unreal offensively which we can fill the void.. Kakko reminds me of Buch, slowly but surely you will get there but its painful in the first 3 years watching it and coming out of a rebuild I'd rather be ready to win. But I completely get what you're saying and I'm fine with the team as is. I just think if that is proposed to us we pull the trigger. Still have Kravs in KHL waiting to come over also. Lundkvist slides in for ADA
