The reason the Pens beat the caps is because the caps can't skate with them. The penguins were just too fast for them.
They have increased their team speed why slow it down.

They are having some struggles right now, a lot of that is the new system. Lots of errors, defensemen out of place because everyone is jumping up and no one cycles back out the forward group.
The biggest issue right now is get healthy. Adding ZAR back in will help a lot with the defensive issues.
They should really be looking at playing Maniscalco. They could use his size on the blue line and skating ability. They need to give him a shot. What they got at 3RD is not great. Also I think missing Matheson hurt them last game. He's a nasty player and I like that about him. They need to work with him to improve his game. Giving him a better 3RD to work with will help instead of trying to give him 2D pairing minutes.

As for Kap, he got put on the 4th line because he's in the dog house for not getting his ass into camp on time. Which is HIS fault.
The organization needs to stay firm on that. Those awful attitudes and habits he picked up in TOR need to be straight put in their place. Every vet on this team should let that be known to him. Not here.
What he got away with in TOR won't be tolerated. He has to be a professional player here, no excuses. He should have made the effort to come to the voluntary workouts. He did not. He waited till the season was announced to make his way over. That's not acceptable. He had months to get his **** together and be here. He didn't. Got no problem with him getting put on the 4th line because of that because just handing him a top 6 role does not send that message.

Yeah no kidding, awful trade for Colorado. Why would they trade a young RHD already playing at a top 4 level, for a bottom 6 forward who fills no need? Makes zero sense.
