I wouldn’t want McDonagh, and Nurtivaara. Some of those I would say some are probably cheep, and some would cost a lot. Like Zadorov, they would want as much as they gave (Saad). But McNabb, I think would be cheep.

Doubt the Hawks move Nikita Zadorov after just acquiring him, You can have Ryan McDonagh for a bag of pucks.

None of these guys would be particularly bad options, but if you pick up anyone that isn't on an expiring contract, you probably handcuff yourself for the expansion draft.

Looking at everyone there though, I'd assume that McDonagh wouldn't waive, Florida likely wouldn't move Nuti, given that they just acquired him, as @nhl_oilers said, Zadonov likely costs the same as what Chicago paid to get him (Saad), and even though Colorado has a replacement for him, and will likely lose Graves (Or Toews) in the expansion draft, I can't see them moving a piece like him without getting a decent NHL piece+pick back (Which seems unlikely). They're a contender, and are likely happy to keep him.

I'd say that McNabb, McCabe or Oleksiak are the only realistic targets here, and likely wouldn't cost much (McCabe is, IMO, the more valuable player of the 3).

Doubt Dallas moves Oleksiak for little. But I also doubt the Oilers would overpay, so that option would be closed.

Contenders aren't trading their players, just because the Oilers want them, McDonagh has a NTC, he ain't leaving Tampa. So really the likely scenario trade options teams have are non contenders and in the Canadian division and 14 day quarantine might have just 7 teams trading.

How about don’t pursue any of them until first attempt to solve matters internally. Sit jones for a few games bring Russell in he can be huge help calming down things and stabilizing the structure. Give bear one more game to get his head back on straight if struggles again tonight sit him and get a look at bouch. We actually have internal options this year that can avoid quarantine issues.

McDonough would be cheap you’d be rescuing them from cap hell. I think there is a good chance he becomes the next James Neal though his play has already dropped off and he’s got 5 more years on his contract after this year.

McCabe is likely not going to be moved unless he's sold at the deadline. He's a leader for the Sabres and they're already thin with LHD.
At the deadline I'm guessing like a 3rd round pick if Buffalo is out of it?

Yeah, that's fair. I don't feel like Oleksiak has a ton of value, and probably isn't the Oilers answer anyway.

Honestly, if I was targeting someone, it'd be McCabe. I don't see a ton of movement happening with the quarantine issue anyway. Most likely Canadian teams will have to solve their issues internally.

McCabe has more value and more experienced, his stats are also very good. He could be more the answer than Oleksiak for the Oilers.

Since Oleksiak will be UFA at the end of this year, I would say a 3rd round pick.

But the only reasons why Nill would trade him is because the Stars are out of a PO spot at the TDL and that he knows the price to resign him and it's too expensive.

We will need money for Miro next year.

Nah, picks or futures don't help this team in their prime cup years. Avs could do with a good 3C if they traded Graves though, that would certainly be the right return to aim for.

I was strictly thinking value, but an upgrade over Compher at 3C would be nice.
