Sorry but Koskinen should be the backup. You can’t get beat like that high glove. To be a starter you need to start 55 games and stop at least a couple of the high percentage opportunities that’s how you win the team games. You look at Holtby in the first game that’s a starter he stopped 3 pucks that would have been in on a regular night. Koskinen can’t play 1st goalie amount of games or his play suffers and he can’t stop the prime opportunities to steal the team a game.

I would give a 1st plus a prospect like benson for a good goalie that’s not the issue. The issue is on the timeline of this roster no team will trade a good goalie because of the back to back schedule.

What we need is a team that is committed to playing team defence first and willing to match the opponents work ethic, the goaltending will be fine
