Hawks pass on this. At least I would, Zadorov and Wallmark are two young RFA's and Bowman has emphasized getting younger. The hawks have no need for Ceci and a subpar prospect. That being said, Bowman traded Panarin for Saad for Zadorov so, who knows, he might like this.

You aren't "getting" Ceci the idea here is it's just cap numbers thing. His contract ends at the end of the year. It's a nothing part of the trade.
It's a prospect and 2 picks for both guys is the basically the deal.

Wallmark is a 10 goal 20 some point guy...aka a 4th line production guy. At 25 he is what he is.
Zadorov is probably worth the 2nd. He's a 3rd pairing guy, they aren't overly valued. Big thing on him is you got 1 year of control left. Then he's probably gone. I can't see a guy who will be 27 sticking around for a rebuild after this years tanking

I think the value is fair. Now if chicago chooses to keep him that's one thing. But the value is there.

The value is not there. Ceci is a pure cap dump, Bjorkqvist is a tweener prospect the hawks have a ton of. There's no reason for Chicago to pull the trigger on this.

move the 4th to a 3rd rounder and I'd be okay with this honestly.

Pure cap dump.............omg your over reaction is just unreal. Can you get out of homerism fantasy land and back into reality?
Ceci burried in the AHL is basically a nothing of a cap hit, and the contract ends this year. Not some mystical time in the future. He's basically a body to replace Z for this year, which helps Chicago on their way to trying to pick 1st overall. Which appears to be their goal anyhow.

So to have this over inflated sense of "Ceci is a pure cap dump" ... is just horse ****.
It's not a real cap dump. He's a body thrown in. If you don't want his cap hit, send him to the AHL. Problem solved.

Like I said it's a prospect and draft picks. The 4th liner isn't worth much of anything, and Z is probably worth a 2nd.
You seem to think they are worth more than they are. These are average players. While some of them hold more value to a team than others, lets not pretend they are worth an arm and a leg.
No GM is looking at it that way. Truth be told Chicago is basically in rebuild mode anyway. The draft pick is probably more useful to them now than anything else.
Toews, doesn't want to play for a team that puts no effort into winning, and Kane is like 1 foot out the door at this point. As I don't see a guy who's 32 wanting to stick around and waste his last few years on a bottom feeder that has no chance of winning a damn thing. He'll be 33 next year. What's he got 2 years of keeping up at most. Guys start to struggle around 35, the age catches up to them. Hell even at 33 guys are slowed down. Come summer he probably wants out anyway and this team is like who cares tank and build.

Why would Chicago use a roster spot for a guy they don't even want?! What fantasy land are you talking about? There's zero sense for CHI to take Ceci even if it is to bury him in the minors considering almost every minor league team has 30+ players on it because some teams opted out or some leagues can't start (Juniors in canada is significantly struggling). So why doesn't Pittsburgh just send him to the AHL then and then he's nobody's problem? So then we're basically sending him to the AHL to not play, right? I wouldn't want him taking a roster spot from a prospect who needs significant ice time. There's no incentive for Chicago to make this trade and get a player that they literally would not use in the NHL or AHL. There is nothing to be gained from trading Zadorov and Wallmark for this package. The picks don't mean much. If Chicago should send him down why can't Pittsburgh?

that's not really the point.
They sent them over as a replacement body. That's it.
You moved out a RD so they replaced it. You do still have to field a team, have depth for injury etc.... jesus you act like they sent over a 6 mil per 8 year term guy tears of joy
