Description

-CHI gets a stopgap in goal for the next 2 seasons
-CHI gets a good young goalie
-CHI drafts their top LD for the future, non other than Owen Power... speaking of which, do you believe he will play in the NHL at 18 years old? I'm not totally sure he will, I don't see him as a Dahlin-caliber player.
-CHI gets a 2 year stopgap at D before Power can really take on heavy responsibilities

Imo Chicago shouldn't do that first trade. Nothing guarantees that Devon Levi will be good. Goalies are too unpredictable to give up assets in order to get them

this is what we call overvaluing the world juniors. Levi literally played no name European teams with a team of NHL 1st rounders.

hawks decline the florida trade. Goalies are too hard to predict, and imo the defenceman to go, if any, would be Murphy and not Zadorov just because of age and because we've been committing to getting younger. Honestly instead of trying to sign Mrazik and Martinez to semi compete, I think I would rather just be bad again and take our chances in the Shane Wright lotto, because this team above isn't a playoff team.
