Monahan was at one point in trade discussions due to the poor playoff performance of the flames still could be given the right offer and PLD could be someone to good to pass up for the flames GM.

Idk about those two. Monahan is lateral right now but age, contract, team control, potential and play style shift the argument towards Dubois

CBJ has very little leverage in a Dubois trade. That is way too much from Calgary

How does a Monahan for PLD make any sense? At most it's a lateral move.

PLD wants out of Columbus, but Columbus (I imagine) still wants to compete.

CGY gets an upgrade over Monahan, and CBJ gets a similar quality player, as well as a prospect that could contribute as soon as next season.

Honestly I'm not a fan of Mony. Dubois is way more dynamic and can actually carry a line. I like Monahan's value in a trade, and it's not often guys life Dubois are on the trade block.

I agree, but mony is greatly under-rated int the league because he doesn't play a physical game as a 1C. Everyone seems to look past his ability to put the puck in the net. Consistently. Take out pelly and there might be a deal
