Sanderson is untouchable

Sens are not moving Sanderson. Especially for DeBrincat. They don't need wingers, and DeBrincat is overrated as hell on here.

Yet again, acquiring a d-man is not a positional need for Ottawa so they laugh at that. They have guys coming up in the system along with who they already have on their roster. Defence isn't one of their needs and they're not throwing away assets for something they don't need.

Thats not enough for Dubois. White is extremely low value and potentially a bad contract right now, Brown hasn't made a splash yet. Brannstrom is the only high end asset there. Cbj absolutely loses that trade. You call them "3 young nhl roster players" when neither of them are currently bonafide NHLers yet.

You want defense but you want to trade Sanderson and Brannstrom.

White is a 23 year old centreman that's already a 40 point player with average defence. Can still easily grow into a solid 2way guy that'll put up 60 points. Him getting scratched for 1 game doesn't blow his value out the door. Coaches do stuff like that a lot to light a fire under guys.

Brown, still a prospect sure. Bud acquiring any player is a risk. At least he has more potential than an AHL guy.

Brannstrom could be a top 5 d-man in the league eventually. He'd have enough value alone for PLD.

Dubois is HIGHLY overrated on this site. & if you think he's worth more, you're clearly overrating him too.

There's no way Brannstrom will ever come close to being a top 5 d-man in the league. It will never happen.

Colin White is outrageously overrated. He isn't anything special. If anything, his contract is a burden for his level of production. He's also 23, he's not going get much better than what he is right now.

Dubois is a great top 6 C and he's worth way more than 2 question marks, an overpaid winger, and a 2nd.

Tbh I wouldn’t do that deal for chicago as we are already loaded on D men, and have very few wingers with top 6 upside.

If you want to take Weegar from us, you are going to have to really overpay due to how integral he is to our d core.
