Very good game. Rest wasn't as impressive as the 1st though but it's fine. Tkachuk directly contributed to two goals, Dube with a wicked snipe on his goal and Mangiapane was the best player on either team for the back half of the game. Spun on Quinn Hughes then drove to the front of the net on one occasion, fed Gio a backdoor pass on another and went behind the back to Dube on the second goal. Markstrom with a shutout is always nice as well. Tonight's standouts were Matthew Tkachuk, Dillon Dube, Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, Andrew Mangiapane, Mark Giordano, Chris Tanev, Noah Hanifin, Juuso Valimaki, Nikita Nesterov and Jacob Markstrom
EDIT: 9 pages in a day, is it unrealistic to set a goal of 500 by year's end?
Hard too say, IMO just goes to show how good Markstrom really is despite changing teams
Didn't have high expectations tbh but he's been great. I though separating from Ian Clark and his systems in Vancouver would hurt him but thankfully not.
Dobson had a really bad game, it doesnt matter hes really young and talented but watch hickey end up in that spot. Really nice to hear barry criticize ross and also happy that leo didnt end up playing.
Sorokin didnt get any help from his team. There were some goals he shouldnt have let in (especially the 2nd buch goal) but he had some moments where he showed why there was so much hype. He has to work on some stuff (positioning, getting used to a smaller rink) stuff like that but he showed promise.
It would be really nice to see wahlstrom in there and hopefully varlys back soon.
Koskinen looked okay-ish and the defence in front of him didn’t really help
Price played great, Montreal did a good job of neutralizing Edmonton’s top players, Petry and the Tatar-Danault-Gallagher line did really well, this is the kind of game that if Montreal plays it the whole season they’ll make the playoffs

Can I add you to the list?!
Agree sabres coach takes the young guys out sometimes after bad games and it's ruins confidence and they are harder to get back on track....
