I think Matthews just has been getting robbed a bit. He's put on tons of quality chances but has been robbed or hit the post on all of them. He's looked dangerous but just hasn't had things go his way yet.

NJ DEVILS:

I'm not saying they're making the playoffs, or anything crazy like that, but solid goaltending is the great equalizer. Sort of like having a reliable starting pitcher in your rotation. Devils fans, like me, know we can count on Blackwood most nights to keep them in the game. Not so sure Pens, Sabres, and Caps can say the same, even though those teams are better offensively. Might be a long season, but Hughes looks good and there's a lot to be excited about for the future.

If the Sabres play like they did vs Washington last night in most of the games this season I think we will win the division, knock some rust off out PP and we would have had 3/4 extra goals and a blow out win. I think the Capitols looked really bad vs the Sabres the sabres shut down space you couldn't get through the nuetral zone and the defenders normally criticised for being bad looked amazing especially Risto and McCabe and Montour they kept us rolling and we played the best game of Hockey I've seen in a while. Just couldn't convert anything.

Skinner was amazing! He will be a force again this year and I expect him to move up the lineup this next couple games.

I think for the Avs it’s a bit of both, they are a really good team with only goalie consistency issues and their forward and defenceman can carry this team

Thank you Ottawa! The other 5 Canadian teams salute you. I wasn’t able to watch the game (since it was a Leafs home game, so it was blacked out) but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Sens had made it 4-2. I’ll be happily awaiting the next Steve Dangle video on this one.
