Didn’t see much from this line. Definitely was a little underwhelming. To be fair, Zibanejad just started skating again Monday so that may be apart of it, but they need to be better either way.

I think that Strome and Kakko played pretty good. Panarin didn’t have his best game but he still generated chances in front.

This line needs to be played more. Gauthier was one of our best players. He was a hound on the puck and played a solid defensive game. Chytil won us the draws that needed to be won. Laf didn’t play much and it was disappointing because he was also one of our best players. Every time he had the puck in their zone he got past their Defence. He played great.

Rooney was a very nice surprise. He came out of a cannon. He was blocking shots, laying hits, making nice stretch passes, he was amazing. There was that unfortunate play with Johnston which imo could have gone either way, but overall Rooney played good. There were times when I saw Howden out there and I thought “Why is Zibanejad playing on the 4th”. It was Howden. He had a great game and looked ready to play. Lemieux I thought had a quiet game. Overall a good line.

Fox made a few mistakes but Lindgren made up for them. Not much to say.

We didn’t get to see much of this pairing. I thought Miller had wonderful positioning and spacing and would always be in front of the guy with the puck. Trouba had a pretty solid game overall.

Jack Johnson was on the ice for 3 out of the 4 goals. On the one that he wasn’t, he got a penalty which led to them scoring on the powerplay. Half the time when their team was rushing into our Zone, Johnson was behind the play reaching out with his stick. Tony didn’t really impress me either. Johnson CANNOT play next game.

I thought Igor had a decent 1st period and only 1 of the 3 goals were his fault. After the 1st period he played OUT OF HIS MIND. He’s going to be an amazing goaltender.
