nope - using your rules, you think caufield + ylonen + weal would be fair for dubois + 5th? ok... I think dubois is getting overvalued hard on this site, but this the complete reverse.
Categorizing players doesn't mean all the outcomes would make a great trade proposition, it mainly means that if you're asking for two players from the same category the price asked is considered too high by Montreal. On the other side of the spectrum I could say that KK, Harris and Lehkonen for Dubois and a 6th is a steeper price considering Harris development over the last couple of years and Lehkonen defensive abilities. If you cherry pick what you want to see on anything on this site obviously it can be seen as bad.

Here’s the thing Montreal more than any other team has to overpay to get Pierre-Luc Dubois. Not a chance Jarmo kekaleinen Gives Pierre-Luc Dubois what he wants without a major win. Sets a really bad precedent that if you complain loud enough you’ll get what you want.
Montreal needs to overpay for what? Lack of centers, the need to hit the cap floor, explain why do they need to overpay? If your only argument is that he's a francophone that's bs.
Quoted "Sets a really bad precedent that if you complain loud enough you’ll get what you want." Where did Dubois complained loudly to get what he wants? He had a closed door meeting with his teammates about the fact that he wasn't happy with this team and furthermore would request a trade to Jarmo. Where is the "complain loud enough" part in here? I guess you meant that
Torts complained loudly in front of members of the medias about a situation that had nothing to see with his pay grade.

There’s a considerable difference between KK/Caufield and our 1st + 2nd. The habs wouldn’t trade Caufield/KK, and Columbus wouldn’t make a trade where the main piece is a mid to late first. So can we please stop with these ridiculous arguments.
See first argument on top.

Frankly PLD wanting already out of Columbus should be a little bit alarming to MB. The unwritten code is usually that you play with the team that drafted you until minimum 25. Seems almost unfair but thats usually the thing most players adhere to.
I think either PLD is being a little selfish here or he simply cant stand Torts anymore. Either option should be very concerning to Jarmo.
I mean they obviously know more things inside but it wouldn't be the first time Torts makes someone unhappy on a team... The only one that followed him and seemed like he could stand his personna was Richards and first thing you know the sh*t hits the fan when they both end up in NY.
Is it concerning yes but if it's for the right reasons I see no issues of asking for a trade. The relation was -most likely- already broken way before the bench screaming video but that was the last drop he needed to feel the need to get out.
