The Blackhawks look really bad*

I wouldn’t worry much about Foote. He’s mad a few bad mistakes but he’s clearly still adjusting to the speed of the game. Give him some time and I think he’ll be just fine. Volkov has shown flashes but seems to struggle to finish the job. Really liked what I’ve seen from almost everyone. Sergy and Cernak are clearly still getting better and the sky's the limit for those guys. They are playing a fantastic game. Cernak particularly has been noticeable.

I wouldn't worry much about everyone. Just game one of the season and only game 1 for Foote's career. Joseph really impressed me. If he keeps up that kind of play with another year on his deal, that helps our cap management and still be competitive next year. I still want to see what a twice waiver clearing Johnson can do now.

I'd agree with everything except I wasn't to impressed with Volkov. Hopefully he'll figure it out, but for now I think Joseph is ahead of him.

I saw the advanced stats on Volkov were horrendous. He still has some work to do, but that's ok, next year he'll need to be on top of everything for us to stay competitive though.
