I was pointing out that since Merrill isn’t an option to potentially replace Petry that means he’s still injured. I’m not sure when he’ll be able to return.

Yeah. I’m not too worried about how long Jake is out, because I don’t think he’s any better or worse than anyone in the lineup. Although being without Petry for even a game or two would be a massive blow for Montréal. Now we just need to hope that Vegas and Colorado go to 7 games.

Laval has signed Gabriel Bourque to a 1 year contract. Bourque somehow played all but 4 games for Winnipeg this year, and settles on an AHL contract 4 days after getting eliminated. He must really want to play for the Rocket, because you’d think a guy that played an entire NHL season would have more options, at least to get an NHL contract.
