Covid salary cap implications when following NHL protocols

What happens to a teams salary cap when a player is taken out of the lineup because of the NHL's Covid protocol? Example: Miller and Benn with Vancouver.

So it’s looking like it’s being put under NHL Non-Roster right now. So basically they don’t take up a roster spot, but still count against the cap.

If a player actually has COVID, at that point I’d assume it would be treated the same way as an injury.

It could be a messy cap situation for a lot of teams if the NHL doesn't treat the "COVID Protocol Related Absences" like LTIR for cap reasons. Either that or we could see NHL teams having to be like Germany in the WJC.
