The Sabres are weak down the middle. Eric Staal was brought in to be the 2nd line C as Reinhart is better suited to play RW. After that they have Cody Eakin as their 3C. Chris Tierney would be an excellent 3rd line center, much more valuable than Miller to the team. He can also play in the top 6 if injuries occur.

I don't see how this trade doesn't benefit Buffalo when they only give 11 points in 51 games Colin Miller. They get the best player in the trade.

I would rather have 3 years of Okposo than 4 years of Zaitsev

i guess it depends how much bufflo values the difference in capspace, both players are extremely overpaid
