No, Pettersson would be a large upgrade for the devils d-core and Legare is a good prospect that will hopefully become a Top 6 forward. and you guys get a 3rd rd pick... sounds pretty good for a rebuilding team to me.

I can agree on that, however if the trade were to go through I would say its fair. But yes unless the penguins re-sign Palmieri its not a good deal at all.

And if he does resign, awesome. You do realize teams are allowed to trade away expiring contracts, and resign that player in the offseason
