I see the idea of spreading talent on the blue line, but DD just can't be as effective with Beau.
I worry every pair will be sub par and relatively ineffective.

Maurice said he wanted to balance size so they can play every way. However, I think that mentality will change a bit after heinola comes in and when a few games have been played. Overall, the Canadian teams aren’t big and tough like the central (save for Calgary) so I don’t see it as a huge necessity to have size on all pairing for now. Obviously that changes at the tdl in preparation for playoffs.

After a few weeks I see the pairings being:
JoMo-demelo
Forbort-pionk
Heinola-poolman
Beaulieu-niku

I hope you’re right. I think this is a better way of deploying the troops.
