From the CBJ perspective I think the value is good.

Not sure Montour fits their needs, but it'd give them an option at 2RHD (picking between him and Savard; extend one and trade the other).

Doesn't fix their biggest current roster need (1LW) but if Dubois leaves, center becomes a far bigger hole and Cozens could fill that 1C role in time. The picks coming back to CBJ help as well, plus they'd have a ton of cap which could be good for finding a stopgap. Good work.

Columbus Blue Jackets: Goals for 28th with 180. Goals against 3rd with 183. I don't think they are looking to add another defenseman especially one that is a UFA at the end of the season.

Cozens is untouchable. If he doesn't pan out at worst he's a 30-40 point 3rd line center. If he pans out, which by all indications he will, then he's a 60-70 point 2nd line center. In other words, in a couple years Cozens will likely be as good as if not better than Dubois currently is

Maybe, maybe not. Either way im not adding that much to cozens, in fact i dont have any interest in moving cozens at all.

I can say that. Mitts made cute plays against high schoolers and on a very strong USA team in the WJ which made everyone think he was gonna explode in the NHL. Cozens makes smart plays and possess elite NHL speed. That alone makes him a legit prospect. If you want to trade the best prospect we've drafted in the last 10 years (excluding Eichel and Dahlin) then I think it may be time to cheer for a new team. Cozens is exciting. Buffalo needs exciting players
