Let me tell you a secret, not every player gives up on their organization like people want them to. Eichel has cried to the media multiple times and he's still there. He wouldn't have signed the deal he did if he didn't want to be there long term.

Florida has Lundell, Tippett, Borgstrom, Heponiemi, Bajkov, Noel, etc coming up soon along with Huberdeau, Barkov, and Ekbkad. 2 of the top goalie prospects. My guess, they'll be looking up by the time he signs his next contract. This team will be very good within 3 years. People seem to forget how young Barkov, Huberdeau, and Ekblad are.

I totally agree with that, but it doesn't change the fact that your team will at least try to compete this year and will not trade Stralman for draft picks (at least not before closer to the TDL).
Why would Duclair have signed if your plan was to trade NHL players to make room for AHL players?
