Obviously Soderberg is an NHL player. I'd still like to see Kurashev get a chance while Soderberg gets his visa issues worked out and then he has a 14 day quarantine. Kurashev has proven enough to me that he deserves NHL ice time.

I'm reading reports that Kurashev looks improved, he still needs time in the AHL. Watching him clips of practice, I personally don't think he's ready quite yet but the talent is there.

This season, play anyone though would be my approach and see what you've got with the young kids. Bowman acquired one too many older vets between Soderberg, Wallmark, Janmark, and Carps (last season). All 4 are blocking the youth try-outs and Wallmark is realistically the only player with potential to be with the club in a couple years.

Until the TDL comes and some of those guys get traded for future assets.

This comment is unrelated to your post quoted above, but I wanted to hear your input. Isn't it amusing that the Blackhawks can't score on an AHL really good starter/decent NHL backup in Colin Delia on the PP? I mean the PK last night had guys like Lindholm, Beaudin, and Johnson on it against a PP of guys like Strome, Cat, Kane, Keith, Boqvist, etc. Really disappointing lol

Yeah, but understand they are simply scrimmaging trying to play changes to the system in a game like situation, also for evaluating players on the bubble. It's not like the vets are all out sending rockets and one timers at the net.
