Holl Engvall and a 2nd, the package that TOR fans think can get them any player in the league.

It's definitely overdone and also wasteful. There is still a bizarre extreme want for any other teams RHD. A small element of Leafs Nation thinks we absolutely are desperate for a big, right handed, defensive defenceman to play with Muzzin in a shutdown role and then trades the guy who did a very good job at last season for literally every other RHD from other teams. Is Weegar better than Holl? Probably, I don't even know, I haven't seen much of him and when the Leafs have played Florida, I never have noticed Weegar. But Holl did a very good job, he is big, he skates well and he's right handed and has awesome chemistry with Muzzin. On top of that, it costs the Leafs 2 million to keep him over losing him, a serviceable bottom 6 player in Engvall and a 2nd all for a more expensive, smaller, RHD that we hope will have the same chemistry with Muzzin. Seems awfully wasteful

I don’t even want to criticize those players. I’m sure they’re great depth players to have. I’m just roasting the TOR ACGMs that always seem to include trading away Holl and Engvall. It’s all good fun.
