You think Minnesota deserves to be that high? I never thought they had an amazing prospect pool.
I just woke up and can't think of any other teams that have a well rounded pipeline like that. Rossi, Boldy, Kaprizov, Kakkonen, and some decent defensemen.
Eliteprospects put Carolina's prospect pool 4th. NHL Network doesn't have them top 15???
NHL network is often terrible at ranking anything. Wouldn't mind it much if I we're you, their "analysts" are morons.
They ranked Joachim Blichfeld on the Sharks as our #2 prospect over Weisblatt, Leonard (who is about to crack the top six NHL squad) Chmelevski and Robins...erm, right...Blich isn't even making the team as a scratch.

Exactly. Boldy and Kahkonen are very underrated for some reason.

I knew I spelled that name wrong! Yeah, my best friend is a Wild fan and said he's supposed to be their next starter and did great in his brief NHL stint. He also said he'll be the backup this season because Stalock is out long term.

Guerin really beefed up their stock. Rossi and Kap are obvious but Khusnutdinov, Boldy, O'Rourke and Khovanov are all really strong.

Guerin is only "responsible" for Rossi, Khusnutdinov, O'Rourke. Kaprizov was Fletcher and Boldy, Khovanov were Fenton.
In any case, the current list looks like:
Kaprizov
Rossi
Boldy
Khovanov
Khusnutdinov
Beckman
Firstov
Menell
O'Rourke
Addison
Kahkonen
Jones (quite a few believe him to be the better prospect than Kahkonen)
And those are just the guys with top 6/top 4 potential. Plenty of other depth guys who can make the NHL as bottom 6/bottom pair guys. Very few teams in the league have the high end guys and the depth in their pool that Minnesota does.
what counts as a prospect here. I mean Lafrenière really isn't a prospect anymore. He's a rookie. There is a difference.
You got to look at only guys who aren't going to play. I'm pretty sure that NY isn't 1 in that regard. As Lafrenière and Kappo just don't fit the bill. They got some nice other pieces but that isn't putting them at 1.
also Denisenko is intriguing, plus they have Tippett and Lundell. Noel and Hepo have fallen off but I would think they still hold value.
Agreed. Plus there's Kolyachonok and this is the up-or-out year for Priskie. I'm starting to hav serious reservations about Tippett because he's had three years now. Nevertheless, I don't see this pool as better than at least 8 other teams'.
