Can we stop pretending Ottawa and Detroit are good just because they got better? I got better at golf but when your shooting over 100 and you improve by 10 strokes it doesn’t mean your good.

Still swept Montreal last year. Detroit made improvements, no one is expecting them to be playoff bound. Biggest addition is getting rid of Howard.

Here's my math:
Bobby Ryan + Vladislav Namestnikov will most likely produce more than the 3 pts from Justin Abdelkader + 4 pts from Christoffer Ehn (who they're essentially replacing from last year's squad)
Troy Stecher + Marc Staal + Jon Merrill will certainly be more reliable than Madison Bowey + Trevor Daley + Jonathan Ericsson
and obviously Greiss >> Howard

On top of all those upgrades Zadina will likely play the whole year with the Wings, so this team has improved greatly, but mostly from dumping chumps. We shouldn't get blown out as much, and the only team we'll be threatening is Chicago for 7th.

I appreciate the optimism but they aren't going to be good. They will be better than last year hopefully over 60 points.
