Big issue i see is if they have a center injury they’re screwed.

I don't think so, Evans and Poehlings and even Byron could step up if the need arises.

I wouldn’t say centre depth is their issue, I’d say their issue is not having anything close to elite forward talent.

Well instead of having one or two 80 pts player and a couple players who are fillers, we have seven 50+ pts players. While having one of the best 5v5 line in Danault's line, we have two lines that provides tons of secondary scoring and a 4th line that is super dangerous and great defensively.

When you have one line with superstars... it's easier to shutdown with your best Ds and best defensive line. The habs will be relentless.

The thing is, most elite teams don’t just have “one or two elite guys” and a bunch of fillers. They have a few elite guys and SEVERAL 50+ point guys as well. I’ll give you points that MTL probably has some of the best depth in the leauge but they also lack the most star power out of any team besides Ottawa. They’ll fight for a playoff spot and can upset some teams (like last year), but they’re not winning any cups. Name the last team to win a cup without a single elite forward?

Name me two team with two superstars and several 50+players. Especially with the salary cap. Superstars take up so much cap that its hard to have good depth... I'll give and exception to Tampa who keeps getting away with it.

St-Louis was built on depth and won.

STL also had senko and ROR. Two players who MTL doesn’t have. Teams with stars and several 50+ players include TML, Washington, Pitt, avs, Boston, Carolina, etc to name a few

Lol TML... after the AM, Marner, tavares, nylander... it drops off like crazy.

PIT, it's all about Crosby and Malkin.

I went to see the stats... except Washington... it all drops off considerably after their stars.

Pitt has Jake (legit a 40 goal scorer), rust, and zucker who are all easily capable of scoring 50+ points. Get your facts right. Not worth my time arguing with you.
