Oilers need goalie depth, their backup sucks. Hutch had amazing underlying numbers that should’ve considered him for a the Vézina, terrible coaching by keefe for not starting him most games, also on a bank robbery of a contract, what a hard life for hutch on the leafs, he’ll shine in edm. Having that on either the oilers or leafs is bad, so why not split it so it’s even for them? It’s a win win for both sides imo. As an honest leafs fan, Matthews is so overrated. He only scored goals because he’s good at hockey, imagine if he wasn’t? There are tons of players that aren’t good at hockey that still score goals, think about that. Kyle Turris is an overpay by the oilers, but he’s the only player on that amazing team with similar value to Auston Matthews. He could’ve been an easy first liner on the preds, another player with huge potential and talent has his talents buried on the preds, typical.
