Not so. Nugent-Hopkins plays with McDavid now, I've told you this already in this thread. The most likely lines are

    Nugent-Hopkins - McDavid - Kassian
    Kahun - Draisaitl - Yamamoto

Here are all 5 wingers (the 4 above + Palat) and their 5v5 P/60 last year:

    Yamamoto: 3.16
    Kahun: 2.43
    Nugent-Hopkins: 2.23
    Kassian: 2.21
    Palat: 1.84

    Same 5 guys by 5v5 G/60:

    Kassian: 1.03
    Yamamoto: 1.00
    Nugent-Hopkins: 0.98
    Kahun: 0.90
    Palat: 0.72

I'm 100% sure the Oilers have no interest in paying $5.3M and a first round pick for a DOWNGRADE in the form of a 30-year-old rental winger.

Kaduna is 100% carried by mcjesues put palat there and I promise you palat does wat better

Mcdonagh's leadership isn't worth Berggren and taking on a extra $6.75M in cap for the next 6 seasons. Berggren is one of Detroit's best prospects easily in their top 5.

Mcdonagh has 5 years left and detriot will not be pressed against the cap at any time within the next 10 years so a second plus mcdonagh for leadership and a 1st could easily get berggren who is good but you are severely overrating him

Kahun? He has never played with McDavid - not even in practice.

Rebuilding teams don’t trade promising prospects for more futures. This logic just keeps pushing off being competitive. If you want Detroit take Ryan then attach picks for future considerations or a late round pick (this isn’t factoring his NTC).

Berggren was drafted 33 overall and he’s only improved his stock going PPG in the SHL. Injuries has hindered him but he looks great offensively and has top 6 upside. Detroit’s fan base is high on him for obvious reasons and let’s not get into overrating as every fan base does it including yours.

I’m high on him too but to say he’s a top 6 prospect in detriot spool is wrong

I said top 6 upside which isn’t wrong. People’s top 6 prospect listing is subjective and I could easily see him in the majority of listings.

You do realize players can play both sides right, palat showed that in the playoffs by switching wings with kucherov multiple times

So rw where the oilers have jp yam kass chiasson archie? Left out Neal even tho he prefers to be on the right side but has been on the left because already too many bodies for the right side.

Idk about that mcdavid did finish second overall in points last season with kass there. Jp has had very encouraging numbers next to mcdavid in the past admit very short sample size. Part of him resigning I’m sure hinged on a shot in the top six. Aside from that this also creates an expansion draft complication as the team is already full on protection slots also can’t afford him with the cap situation in Edmonton. It’s just not a trade oilers would have any interest in.

No he isn't. I already pointed this out to you but you're too clouded by your bias to understand basic numbers.

The top-93 forwards in the NHL (1st liners) scored 0.69 P/G or more last year. Here are the Oilers top-6 wingers and Palat:

    Yamamoto: 0.96
    Nugent-Hopkins: 0.94
    Palat: 0.59
    Kassian: 0.58
    Kahun: 0.55

The top-93 forwards in the NHL (1st liners) scored 1.99 P/60 or more last year. Here are the Oilers top-6 wingers and Palat:

    Yamamoto: 3.16
    Kahun: 2.43

Just because Detroit has cap space doesn't mean they're in a hurry to spend it. McDonagh's contact will, in all likelihood, be an absolute anchor for the last few years of it, which is exactly what a rebuilding team like Detroit will be wanting to avoid. They'll be trying to compete around that time, and having that contract will be have an extremely negative impact on their cap situation.

Also worth considering, Detroit's blueliner average age is over 28. They don't need leadership, they need elite talent. We could argue McDonagh's elite status all day, but Detroit needs high draft picks, not a good defenseman already over 30 and due to start declining any time now.
McDonagh doesn't help the Wings in the short term or the long term because of where they are at and the direction of the team. A late 1st several years from now doesn't come close to offsetting the negative value that McDonagh's contract would have to a rebuilding team. Plus, you want a good prospect that's currently lighting up the SHL, from a team that needs picks and quality prospects over anything? No chance they make a deal like that.

Once again, the facts escape you. Palat's most common linemates for the entirety of the 2019-20 regular season were, in order: Point, Kucherov, Hedman and Sergachev. He didn't play "second line for 90% of season" as you stated.

Nothing there proves your point. I posted the actual numbers right down to the second.

So my point is established: Palat doesn't score at a first line rates despite playing with some of the league's best offensive players, he isn't worth $5.3M x 2 with a flat cap and he certainly isn't bringing back a 1st round pick in a trade.

    End of story.

    Goodbye.
