IMO the Wild could use a big shake up. Something like this. Organization has been stuck in mediocrity forever. Take a chance. I like it.

This is too much IMO. Leveraged way too much of the future for the now. PLD would be great but we will probably be better off showing patience with the prospects than giving up this much. If you want to move Dumba for Ehlers, add Khovanov and a pick then sure, but I think this is overkill.

I don't see any chance Winnipeg does the first trade, so that kind of knocks everything off.

Eriksson-Ek has to go. Only way it works. Columbus isn't going to want a 32 year old center in return for Dubois. They'll demand either Rossi or at bare minimum Eriksson-Ek, and we simply can't avoid it.

This is what I suggest.

Drop Pionk entirely, as he's unnecessary.

Move Beckman down to the CBJ column and swap Khusnutdinov for Khovanov then add Eriksson-Ek in replacement for Bonino.

To make up for the loss of Beckman to Winnipeg add on Firstov and our 2021 2nd for Ehlers.

I’m aware. You’re free to disagree, but I think losing Greenway and Beckman for Pionk is shortsighted and puts us into a bind down the road, specifically for the expansion draft. I’m willing to move Marat or Khovanov and a 1st and think that’s good value coupled with Ehlers. I’m also pretty sure we can’t afford him once he needs a new contract without moving other pieces out.

I don’t disagree that this might be how much it would cost, it’s more than I’m willing to spend. I think patience is key unless the price is right.

The way Minnesota sees dumba is much different than fans on here. Minnesota isn't adding on ti dumba much less trading dumba to jets for ehlers to go to Columbus so wild get PLD. Take jets out of this

When did I say I know more than an NHL GM? Am I not allowed an opinion because I cheer for the Leafs? Pionk would be a replacement for Dumba, and Ehlers would be used in a package for PLD. Dumba to Pionk is a relatively small downgrade; Marcuss Johansson to PLD as your #1C is a considerable upgrade.

Honestly, Dumba for Ehlers 1 for 1 makes a lot of sense in my eyes. That’s assuming we keep him, I think he’d be great to play next to Rossi.

Wild will have Carson Soucy, so no pionk isn't a need. Wild also have caden addison ready to step in along with Brandon mannel in wild top 6d. Does wild not have Marco Rossi? Oh yeah they do. There's no chance Guerin will ever trade dumba for anything less than his asking

Soucy is not on the same level as Pionk, and is also not an RD, which would be the hole in the top 6. Elite cup teams recently tend to have 2 elite 1C's. So assuming Rossi pans out, this gives them a great C combo. And no, Eriksson Ek won't be a 1C. He'll be a middle 6 F, ceiling being an average 2C.

Dumba isn't all that great. Nobody's gonna send their top 6 center off for him; I wouldn't give Nylander and he's not even a center
