Doubt RNH signs for anything less then $7.5 million long term, Grubauer is way underpaid doubt he takes anything less then $5 mil to $5.5 mil per for 2 years or so and Hall isn't taking less to come back to Edmonton he'll want at least 4 years $32 milion give or take.

Lemieux was one of the worst players in the league last year, that's a horrible trade. Why don't I see Rangers fans proposing Kreider-for-Archibald swaps?

The OP's offer above is low for the term given, just as your suggestion is too high for the term given. Reality is somewhere in the middle: $3 - 4M for a 2-3 year term and probably (I'm guessing here as there aren't any comps listed above) $4 - 5M for a 4+ year term.

Just because Buffalo gave him $8M x 1 doesn't mean that any other team will match that value and give term too.

You're comparing Grubauer who's only 29 years old to much older Goaltenders that are towards the ends of their careers, Grubauer is making $3,333,333 right now he'll easily get at least $4 million on his next deal and considering him a backup is laughable he's a solid starter that has put up solid numbers with Colorado. He'll be the one to being them the cup this season.

There’s more to hockey than scoring points - Lemieux provides toughness and grit, which is especially important considering the loss of Kassian.

I think RNH would rather stay with the organization that drafted him (and with whom he has a bright future) rather than chasing an extra 15-20% with a different franchise.

You don't trade a top-6 forward for "toughness and grit" when that player is well below replacement-level though. You can pick those guys up in the UFA market for less than $1M every year.
