I dont think so. Hughes and schmidt would play amazing together. Hamonic is like Tanev but hes not quite as good

odds are Hamonic signs for less. Hoglander probably has one more year in Sweden, or is called up later.. he's not at training camp though so likely not on the roster.

Hoglander is at training camp. Hes actaully practicing with Horvat and Pearson rn, and many people are saying he could play on that line. I dont think hes going to be on that line the whole year, but i believe we could see him start in that position. As for Hamonic, hes a pretty good and underated defenseman. I think 2.5 would almost be an underpayment, but thats just my opinion.

I mean based off the pairings today Edler is gonna be paired with Schmidt. Plus Green and Benning have both said they're gonna give Hamonic a shot with Hughes. Tanev is also kinda overrated due to how good Hughes made him look. He's not gonna be the same player in Calgary

I might be wrong but I think Hughes and Schmidt are in different groups so they cant play together rn. But yeah I think they'll definitely try Hughes and Hamonic, but I also think it would be pretty stupid if they didnt at least try Hughes and Schmidt in a few games.

Edler and Hamonic have no foot speed, you need a mobile dman with both players.

It's true they're in separate groups but generally the guys Green wants together are generally in the same group. They'll probably pair Hughes and Schmidt together in certain situations but I can't see them being together all the time
