Mikheyev could easily be the same type of player Goodrow is but with more offence and is signed longer. That's not good asset management by Toronto at all

mikheyev was better defensively in his regular season as well as way better offensively

he's signed to a pretty team-friendly deal for 2 years, is expansion draft exempt and could easily be a speedy (but big) middle-6 defensive forward

yeah, goodrow hits/fights, he fits perfectly in tampa's bottom 6, but if I'm the leafs I'm hanging onto mikheyev imo

The Leafs lack physical presence, in which Goodrow can offer. He also provide's the offensive element and is a defined player in the league, notably a Stanley Cup champion
