Might be a bit much for Binnington, but that would an awesome summer all together! Nuge must remain an Oiler for life!

Over 50% in the dot and Right shot, can help Holloway learn the position at the NHL level while putting up 15 goals. Veteran. Ans Schwartz puts up another 20 goals, maybe Holloway puts up 15 playing with them. Thats another 50 goals per year as opposed to the 20 last year. Whats not to like?

The problem I have with Krejci is his age, I seen him play enough last yr to see the drop off so signing a 35 yr with declining player that’s played a ton of hard minutes with Boston in the playoffs the last 5 or 6 yrs for 2 yrs at that cap pass, I could get on board on a 1 yr deal if it was with the intention to mentor Holloway, if the oilers plan is for Holloway to play centre I don’t think we see him, Holland will give him all the time to develop, if he does sign and leave school this spring I wouldn’t be surprised to see him spend the whole season in the AHL, there’s no need to rush him with Turris signed for 2 yrs

Yep, no reason to give Krejci (a) $4M and (b) more than 1 year. He's old and not very consistent.

I don't see Savoie on the team next year. Holland is going to leave him in college for a couple of years at least to clean up other parts of his game (other than goal scoring). I'd put Kahun on the 1st line - he's played at a top-6 level ever since he got to the NHL. Let Savoie develop.

Two more things:

- why would Seattle take Jones as a sweetener for Neal when they could just take Jones in the expansion draft?
- I'd sign more 1-year deals next summer with the view of freeing up a bunch of cap space the following summer (2022) in the off chance guys like Seth Jones, Parayko, Forsberg, Barkov (long-term options) or Malkin, Letang, Giordano, Bergeron (short-term) hit free agency that summer.

This is an I wish thread and oilers obviously signed Russell to make him the single D for Seattle to take, they are obviously protecting or trading Jones. Makes no sense to sign Russell does it.
