I’d think the Drai/Yam/Nuge line is or should be a lock to stick together. I don’t think playing Nuge ~ 12 minutes a night (+- depending on penalties) is a good use of your 3rd best forward.

I hope that Puljujarvi finally begins fulfilling his potential and you play him and Nugent-Hopkins on the top two lines with Draisaitl, McDavid, Kahun and Yamamoto.

I say this only because Edmonton has been moved out of our Division. Otherwise, I'd be rooting for Puljujarvi to flop.

All I hope for now in JP is that his skating hopefully got better, other than that, I like the guy on a 3rd line RW

Turris struggled in Nashville, but he was still good enough to play in the NHL. And management wouldn’t have given him $1.65 million if they thought he’d be sitting in the press box.

I don’t agree at all. It should be Nuge-McDavid-Kassian/Puljujarvi. McDavid and Nuge played very well in the playoffs together, and I think they could be amazing this upcoming season. Now for that second I would run Kahun-Draisaitl-Yamamoto, as Draisaitl and Yamamoto played very well last year when he got called up, and Draisaitl and Kahun has the connection with eachother. I agree with not playing Nuge on the third because that’s just wrong... that won’t help us at all, as that’s the reason why we have Turris.

Nuge had his best season when he split between 2C (When Drai and McDavid were together) and first line wing. Playing him at 3C makes ZERO sense. His minutes would be limited and you would just further dilute the wingers. Realistically speaking, Yamamoto and Nuge are the only legit top 6 wingers. Kassian is a complimentary 3rd line guy and Kahun and JP are unproven at this time. We barely have wingers playing in their right spot as if, if you move nuge down, you need to give him players to help out offensively, not a lots of talent to pick from.

Also this is just ignoring the fact that we got Turris. He's a perfect 3C for us.
