IMO as a Habs fan I take either one of these but I also think Montreal needs to add a 1st to bot maybe more to the second one. IMO Danault has more value to Columbus than KK as Columbus isn't in a rebuild they are trying to add to what they have done the last 2 years. KK sets that back a bit. I would hate to lose Caufield and would push for a second 1st instead but it is not a deal breaker IMO.

This feels like a mess to me. IMO your trade value is all over the place. Are you saying Bjorkstrand is only worth a 2nd? He is a pretty good wing I think his value is much higher than that.

Bjorkstrand is worth more than a second to Columbus. He’s their best 2 way forward and lead the team in goals last season. He’s the only wing on the team who’s a 1st line wing.

If it is all that then Montreal hangs up. No way they can gut the team like that and give up a top elite goal scoring prospect for 1 player. Besides that why would they not just wait and see if Suzuki and/or KK get to PLD's level IF that is the ask?

I saw one trade proposal of Monahan and Gaudreau for PLD and Bjorkstrand. Monahan and Gaudreau had poor years last year, if it were straight up trades, I think Columbus benefits short term but Calgary benefits longer term because of RFA status. That trade would tear Calgary apart, not sure if they could manage losing them both, but would have 6 million in cap space after the trade

Flames - Monahan = PLD. They are not adding a first. Might get a second piece for service time remaining difference.

Habs - PLD for Kotko/1st/secondary prospect....reasonable. Not sure of the mess you are projecting. If you want all 4 pieces for PLD and OB. No from Habs. If it’s either or, CBJ passes on both pair.

NYR - not trading Kakko. CBJ not taking Strome/Buch. Or Strome/Kreider. Take Strome away from Panarin and he sucks. Hell he sucked in the second half of the season with him.

Jets - while Jarmo likes Laine. Torts will have a coronary. The other one is a no.

I agree with everything here like I said from a Habs standpoint they would do either pair plus a 1st for just Dubois and likely prefer to do the second pair as KK is still a top prospect but Drouin is a frustrating player. When he decides to play he is phenomenal when he decides to just float we want to shoot him on the spot. The best value from the BJ's side in my opinion is Danault + Caufield + 1st IMO anyway.
