This is the classic quantity over quality. Jackets would ask for a high potential centre as the starter. Something Minnesota doesn't really have outside of Rossi, maybe. If you don't start a deal there, they don't even blink in your direction.

Even Rossi likely won't be a good deal starter when other teams have far better players to offer. In reality, Minnesota and Columbus don't add up as trade partners for something like this. Best to move on.

This is better than most I've seen. Dumba as the center piece I don't think it works CBJ's defense isn't the problem. They need offense. Tied for 3rd in goals against with 183 and tied at 28th with goals for 180.

Not a bad offer IMO. Boldy has looked phenomenal during the WJC. Problem is this leaves the Jackets with a gaping hole at center

Pierre-Luc Dubois is not in Columbus as camp approaches and remains unsigned. And now there are rumblings from a few teams around the league that Dubois may be looking for a change of scenery. Maybe wishful thinking on their part. But stay tuned on this one.

Would you consider a Rossi/Boldy+ package for Dubois?

Absolutely. Two unproven assets for a proven 1C, sign me up. Problem is it could really come back to bite us if Boldy and Rossi become as good as I think they can be

I'd be fine with moving Ek for PLD. I know you think he can be a 60 point C but I'm not sold on that idea. I see him as a 40 point middle 6 center, kind of like a poor man's Danault. Ideally we'd move Dumba to give us expansion flexibility, maybe we get another team involved.

I'd do Rossi+1st or Rossi+Greenway+2nd.

I wouldn't give up either of JEE or Boldy.
