I don't understand why you post this from the Leafs side. It makes no sense. Their whole system is built around guys that can skate. They're giving up the 2 far superior skaters in this deal and for what? At best it's a linear move between Kerfoot and Lowry. Then there's no where to play Roslovic and you've given up Dermott for no reason. He's probably the best skating d-man on the team.
I've long said Roslovic would be a good add for Toronto. But not for this. At most Dermott straight up, likely Winnipeg adds a lower pick in that. The issue with that is that Roslovic clearly wants to get paid where Dermott was willing to take a cheap deal for the team. But that's only if Toronto doesn't see Dermott as a long term option because of depth already in the system. This just doesn't make sense to lose out on a deal so much to gain absolutely nothing.
