Description
Niku alternates in with forbort and is 7th d. Heinola makes the team imo. He’s dominating the world juniors right now.

Perfetti, gustafsson, Vesalainen, and Samberg stay on the taxi squad until the ahl season starts. Idk what the jets will do with perfetti but he isn’t ready for the nhl yet imo. His only option remains the OHL or overseas. I’m thinking that he should go overseas if he can since there is no contact in the ohl whenever that starts.

Roslovic holds out and basically loses his spot to harkins imo. I’d start putting a package together for a guys like severson or even a guy like nurse (though I doubt the oilers will move him). If not, trade him for a big rd prospect like Grans, toumositto, or regula.

Perreault played pretty good with Copp and Lowry last year. I can see them playing together with Harkins and Appleton on the 4th line with either Gus or Thompson

Chevy should've traded Roslovic and 40th overall to Detroit for their 2nd and a 3rd or something, pretty sure Detroit had multiple 3rds.

Roslovic in a package for Severson. Jets need a better 1rh d and Severson would do quite well. Would like Wpg and NJ do a big deal. Roslovic, Pionk, Vesalainen, and Perreault for Severson and Zacha

With Heinola on the team this year do we need Pionk? Severson is a big upgrade from DeMelo on the first line. If we could do Roslovic and DeMelo for Severson but I can't see that happening.

That's who I would've liked too, big RHD they need, can't believe they took Torgersson instead of Gunler, I'm sure we'll be talking about that miss in a few years.

Yikes that pick gives me nightmares LOL. Gunler looks really good this WJ.

To the OP, Chevy said he’ll have a number of players on PTO’s for camp. I’m assuming that hamonic will be on that list.

Even if we just looked at organizational need and compared LW to RW the need is clearly at RW, Laine and Roslovic are very likely gone sometime in the next two years at most and Wheeler is 34, that leaves Appleton who looks like a 3rd liner at best.

Then look at the left side of the wall and it's Ehlers, Connor, Vesalainen and Harkins, did we really need another LW??

I get the majority of wingers can play both sides but looking at what's going on with the RW in Winnipeg and seeing Gunler sniping goals at the WJT has me questioning the Jets GM again, wonder if he was healthy if Torgersson would've even made the
cut for the Swedes.

Gunler has a lot of off ice issues which is why no one drafted him. I don’t regret the pick at all tbh, don’t want more locker room issues on this team. I feel like this room is good as is

Oh, didn't know that.

I can tell you this room isn't good, won't be until there's a new coach that'll put 26 and 55 in their place but ownership is oblivious so it is what it is for the foreseeable future.

I don’t think those 2 are an issue as much as Maurice’s handling of them is. Maurice gave them that long leash and they are using it. That said, I wonder when the day will come where scheifele says he doesn’t want to play with wheeler anymore. I imagine it will be soon because scheifele does basically all the work on the 87-55-26 line and he’s gonna get fed up eventually...

The Maurice/Wheeler relationship is weird, even the former assistant coach hinted at it.

Really like how they brought Dave Lowry in. The special teams should get a boost and he’s a genius at developing players.

Wheeler is a very dominant personality if you know what I mean. He knows what he wants from his players and he expects no less. Wheeler expects 110% from everybody all the time. I’m mean he’s not wrong to expect that since he also gives it but it’s a lot nonetheless. That’s good but it can also be problematic sometimes if you get what I’m trying to explain.

Maurice loves that about him imo but I feel that since maurice is a big leader naturally as a coach and wheeler has that personality, they probably step on each others toes a lot. That said, this is wheeler’s team as much as if not more than Maurice’s and wheeler has earned that and there’s no telling me otherwise.

Wheeler is an a$*hole from what I've heard and the coach bends/caters to him, this team has issues that are gonna persist for awhile, it goes far beyond just Wheeler being demanding.
