Perreault has negative value (and we don’t have a roster spot for him) and I’d rather have Tierney than Roslovic so change the trade around to fit those parameters if you want but this one really sucks for Ottawa.

Perrault, Roslovic and a 3rd for Tierney?

If this trade happened Tierney should be
the 3C just like Roslovic should be for the Jets.

First off let me explain Roslovic's value to Ottawa. At best he's another Colin White, which they already have, and at worst, he isn't even as good as Colin White. With Logan Brown and Josh Norris knocking on the door, it makes more sense for Winnipeg to keep Roslovic.

Ottawa isn't likely to trade a starting centre for anything other than an upgrade in defence. Before you offer, Ottawa doesn't want Sami Niku, no one wants Sami Niku, including Winnipeg. I'd suggest DeMelo, but I think Winnipeg acquired him to play on the first pair with Morrissey, so I'll suggest Pionk. If you want a do everything centre that plays a lot of minutes, it will cost a do everything solid defenceman. Winnipeg is pretty close to the cap ceiling, so Ottawa is probably going to be stuck taking Perreault, luckily he only has the one season left on his contract so it won't cost a high draft pick to take him. Ottawa needs some type of pick for taking Perreault though.

I think Roslovic will be playing the wing. I've been checking a few sites and he's listed as a RW on several depth charts. I just realized, after my previous post, he's not even a centre anymore. He's listed as a centre on NHL.com, and I skipped over the bio info on all the other sites.

If Winnipeg doesn't need a centre, then this is moot, but with Stastny, who I've always liked, turning 35, it wouldn't hurt to get another reliable middle6 centre, especially after last seasons decline.

He probably will be, Roslovic played center for two stints last season and did well but Maurice just couldn't leave it alone and go with it, he can play center and was a center in the AHL but has bounced around at center and right wing in the NHL. Roslovic centered the Jets 3rd line for awhile last season and it did pretty well but of course Maurice broke it up when whoever was injured returned, really believe Roslovic has what it takes to play center but Maurice doesn't like him and that's why Roslovic keeps getting bounced around the lineup which is a big reason why he wants a trade, Maurice has been doing this same thing to other young Jets since he arrived, really wish they'd fire him and bring in a new coach.

Also you should put zero stock into what sites list some forwards positions at, most still list Perreault as a C/LW and I can tell you Perreault has played almost zero games as a center for the Jets and he's been a Jet for I think 6 seasons now, pretty safe to say he's just a LW now but most sites haven't made that change.. Lol

The Jets should absolutely be adding centers and they should have been adding centers for years and I've made threads about acquiring Tierney before but I wouldn't trade Roslovic for him.

Gawd no not trading Pionk, Perreault and a 5th for Tierney, I get Ottawa might not want to trade Tierney or that they need a dman but there's zero chance the Jets would do that.

I agree with you here. Tierney would be nice and all, but it would have to be for a reasonable price. Tierny is just nowhere close to Pionk in value, even if Ottawa is taking back Perreault.

I only added Perreault to help Winnipeg with its cap situation, but it’s basically Tierney for Pionk, and that’s a stretch really. So we’ll part ways thinking the other side wasn’t understanding the value of the player they were getting.

You’re happy with Pionk, leave it at that, because if you want to continue this with a little less respect, I can accommodate.

Don't get what you mean but whatever, the Jets D core is pretty horrid with Pionk, can't imagine what'd it be without him.. Lol

He was the Jets best dman last year, would be nice to add a center but not at the expense of one of the two top 4 dmen we have.

Replying with a condescending remark like, “sorry what” isn’t going to get a polite reply from me. Now do you get what I mean? Just be happy with your player, we’ll be happy with ours, and this should have ended four posts ago.
