Description

I personally believe this season, with the taxi squad, teams close to the cap will try to manipulate it by carrying 20 or 21 players and a full 6 player taxi.

Since the taxi squad travels as well, teams like VGK could put a higher paid fringe guys on waivers to try and get them through over the cheaper waiver eligible players. And then play the yo-yo game.

I would think that Mrazek would be claimed. I would go for scratching Gards as he sucks and if any team claims him, VGK gets off the hook.

I had Gardiner on the taxi also originally. But figured for now I would just leave him in.

I agree on Mrazek. Just don’t think Vegas cares

Probably but I don’t think Vegas cares. I think they’d rather ensure they have Dansk as the back up and he’s not claimed

Understand your feelings. I will disagree, as Gardiner has no value right now and Mrazek and Fluery had very similar numbers last season. Both had a .905 Save percentage

Mrazek has far better metrics facing fewer shots. Gardiner also doesn't have "no value". He had insane analytical numbers as he always did and had a PDO down the toilet. This is an easy no, not without a sweetener from VGK.
