I mean...I don't. Objectively our farm system has 1 top 6 projected forward (Reichel) and 1 top 4 projected defenseman (Mitchell). Beaudin on D might be a surprise LD2 but he's only 20 and not there yet. I don't mind a few years of misery to obtain high end prospects.

Nah. Not with Toews and Kane. Plus Kubalik and Cat. Even Strome to a lesser extent if he gets back his old power play minutes he can push 50 points. The offense is there. Defense will actually be a little better this year with Zadorov > Maatta and Mitchell coming into the fold and Boqvist with another year under his belt. Keith is Keith, still very good at his trade yet obviously nowhere near elite. Goalies will suck so I predict a lot of 5-4 losses this year which is fine.

Hindsight. He could've easily tore up the WJC and then we'd all be singing his praises. Injuries are freak accidents. Cant live in fear.
