Calgary needs a gaudreau and gaudreau needs a change of scenery, so tough to pull off a trade, something similar to the laine situation in wpg without the team control. Calgary would need a potential replacement offensive forward with potential, not sure of the blueline need.

Switch Robinson for Texier or Bremstrom and a 2nd for a 1st and they’d consider it. (Look at the Duchane trade as a good compatible then add a little for the extra year).

I think that's a cool trade and good for both sides. Reunites the Robinson brothers and Savard at a retained salary frees up some cap space room for a future trade at the deadline. Just wish the 2nd was a 1st. Put Tkachuk up with Monahan and LIndholm and see if Eric and Buddy can line up with Ryan to make a solid 4 line combo?

Gaudreau had a rough year, that's not up for debate. Thinking his game fell off a cliff in the middle of his prime is just trolling though. There are zero drinking issue rumours and the coke thing is from like 5 or 6 years ago so not that is also not it

Should also be noted that there was supposed friction between Gaudreau and Monahan at the beginning of the season, it was gone later however and Johnny was a ppg player in the 2nd half.
Also Gaudreau's family is very close-nit and his grandfather was hospitalized for a majority of the year before passing away in (I believe) late February.

Healthy focused gaudreau is exactly what flames need and markstromm playing elite minutes, hopefully brings up rittichs game also, that shoot out flack seemed to wrattle him, or something around that time. Can’t seem to string enough good starts in a row to keep gig
