Based on the players we have at the moment this is how I think the roster could shake out. Really want to see Comtois in the lineup but I also don't want him or Jones relegated to the fourth line. I guess Milano's spot in the top-9 isn't set in stone but I really hate the idea of parking an offensive winger on the fourth line, especially since I feel our fourth line is going to be really solid with those three.

I have no desire to shoehorn Zegras into the lineup, Let that kid get his feet wet in the minors. Two weeks worth of training camp and no preseason games is not a recipe for success with a young kid like this. Maybe park him on the taxi squad until the Gulls' season starts.

I really hate that we have Backes but we're paying him anyway so he might as well be a scratch at least. I'm still not sold on Eakins as our coach but if he shoehorns this dude into the lineup my mind might be made up on whether he's any good at coaching at this level.
