I’ll be blown away if the following things happen:
1. Mcavoy signs long term at under $10M.
2. Bergeron is still a first line center at age 37-38 (edit: jsut saw the barkov signing, perhaps the lines need updating)
3. They bring back Vatrano or sign Butcher.
4. Rask isn’t the starter.
5. They’re $10M under the cap.
6. Kuhlman is still on the team.

I posted it and I was like yeah there's a 1C missing so I signed Barkov in a hurry. Butcher would be a good signing imo, or I could see Nick Leddy. As for Kuhlman, I guess that a guy like Senyshyn could take his spot

Butcher just doesn’t really fit with what the bruins are doing in my opinion. I would expect Wagner on the fourth line.

I think the big one was mcavoy. I just don’t see any chance he signs for 8 mill on his third deal.

I’m very curious to see what happens with the cap long term. Friedman was talking on 31 Thoughts (about 4 minutes in) about the cap not moving much for a long time. If that’s the case I don’t see McAvoy getting 10 mil with the Bruins since Pasta will need that much as well and paying 2 guys 1/4 of your cap is a tough strategy

He’s a 10 million dollar d man in a world that has an 81.5 million dollar cap. I agree the cap won’t be going up until probably 2025.

If its a decision between pastrnak and mcavoy, it’s a no brainer. Pay mcavoy. I don’t think paying both will be at all problematic.
