Alright, in my opinion I ranked them as a tie, I need some input on this.

Scenario: The two players are dman of the same size, Option 2 is a offensive dman who likes to score and rushes the play with his size and skating abilities, and is 2x better than the other one in the offensive zone, Option 1 is more of a complete dman who likes to also rushes the puck but has more of the intent of making a play than to try to score like Option 2, option 1 is on the top unit PK and PP, which both of them are league leading because of him and his defensive play is 2x better than Option 2.

Option 1 has a better Slap shot, Wrist shot but Option 2 has better accuracy and a better quick release.

They both use checking to the MAX and they play on the same line.

BTW not in the NHL, in another league.

He is, I wrote it in a way that it seams like Option 2 is on the top PP and PK, but he's on the second unit, Option 1 is on the top paring for both.

I found this hard to read. To get this straight in my head:

Option 1: 2-way d-man, playmaker, 2x better in the d-zone

Option 2: offensive d-man, shooter, better skating, 2x better in the o-zone.

Both: same size, checking, rush the puck, top PP/PK units.

Pretty much except Option 1 is on 1st PP/PK and Option 2 is on 2nd PP/PK

To build a d-corps around I would want option 1. If I could only make a d-corps of one type it would be option 1.

It's a tossup between the two of them depending on what a team needs imo. I think you need both types of d-men to have the best lineup.
