If this actually happened I think Flames would accept the first one but decline the 2nd. Valimaki was a beast in tye Ligga and would have to give more to do this trade

Most look really fair

Yeah I kinda went with potential on this trade and I think both defensemen have very high ceilings as top 4 d-man on their respective teams.

Less than zero chance the Blues would even consider that.

Yammamoto was almost a point per game why wouldn't they consider it

Well, first of all, points aren't everything. Secondly, Yamamoto had "a PPG" in just 27 games played last season. Thomas has a much bigger sample size to consider (not to mention winning a Cup), but If you take Thomas' last 27 games he had one less point. And Thomas was mostly playing with Bozak and Blais while Yamamoto was usually with Draisatl and Nugent-Hopkins. And Thomas is still younger. Then factor in all the other things Thomas excels at, and like I said, the Blues don't even consider it.

Ahh I think your being a blues fan here. Yamamoto was better in junior. Same draft year and only one year younger. Not that big of a difference there. Thomas has played more in the NHL but it's not like he's lighting it up. Yamamoto is almost a point per game. Playing elites or not it shows he can play at that level. I'm not saying one over the other but you can't honestly say oh no way st Louis does that when they are pretty comparable. Both teams probably like their guy and would want the other to add.

Yamamoto was PPG for the 27 games of last season playing next to the MVP. You seem to conveniently forget the 5 pts in his first 26 games. Thomas has been among the top P/60 producers from day one despite carrying 3rd line players, and he's not near his ceiling yet (and again, still younger than Yamamoto despite his big NHL experience edge). You guys act like points are the only measure of a player. Thomas is vastly superior at zone exits/entries. He's vastly superior with possession. He's better defensively. And yes, I can definitely promise you that the Blues would not even consider this trade. They love that kid, he's a special player. What I think isn;t the issue, the issue is Thomas is all but untouchable. Hell, even if Yamamoto was equal in value (he's not), they're not just making huge changes for the sake of it.

I didn't forget anything, it was his first cup of coffee. He was still almost a point per game. Better then Thomas and no one said it was all about points. They both had 9 EV goals. And Yamamoto had 1 more goal overall playing less the half of what Thomas played. Yam hits significantly more, same blocks, again in much less games, shows Yam is a better checker, his plus minus was almost twice that of Thomas, and their zone exits are basically the same. Just based off all the above stated facts Yam is a better offensive and defensive player. I was into trying to say they were pretty equal overall plus this whole feed was just a joke. You took it way to literal. Both teams would decline. The Oilers have a player with better overall numbers aha why would they trade that? For another center who would play on their 3rd line for the next 10 years?

Nooo, it was his third cup of coffee, and he barely registered in the first two. And. well, then you just go from factually wrong to overtly delusional.
