NYR: Adam Fox will be in Norris conversation by the 2024-25 season
NJD: they're as garbage as they were, no they won't be better, contrary to popular belief
PHI: AV will hold them back as long as he'll be their coach

I agree, the team on paper is kinda bleh. Especially w out Toews now. I think team chemistry is another reason for their success though too. These guys love each other

I've never heard of a team being doomed because of a backup goalie. Also, as a unit our defense was pretty good last year

BOS: They will be rebuilding in three-four years
BUF: They won't make the playoffs for at least the next six years
PIT: Jarry will win a Vezina at some point

Ovi never cared about anything as much as beating Gretzky's record, before or after the Cup win in '18. And anyone who says they'd rather win the Cup than score almost 900 career goals is not being truthful. Maybe Ovi will get to do both.

BOS: Bruins are still a top team this year, krejci doesnt come back next year. Rask retires, bruins go into "rebuild" mode next year.
BUF: This is the only shot they have of making the playoffs.
PIT: Jarry was a flash in the pan and pitt traded the wrong goalie. Pitt headed to rebuilding again once crosby and malkin are done.
NYI: Islanders go as trotz goes. If trotz is gone NYI is screwed.
NYR: Give it 2 years and this team will be a top team in the NHL.
NJD: Blackwood is a top 10 goalie.
PHI: Seems nobody else believes in the flyers... outside of the rangers in a couple years, tampa, and maybe carolina whose better RIGHT NOW. Carter Hart is a stud. One of the best teams in hockey.
WSH: They are going to be rebuilding soon, old team not exactly a hot take.

BOS: They will finish first in this division and go on a decent playoff run. This will cause them to trade futures.
BUF: Something goes right this season and they finish a wild card team. Their future ends up being a Minnesota of the east, however, never really breaking out of the middle of the pack and never really doing anything in the playoffs.
NJD: Subban will actually be good this season. He leaves New Jersey in the offseason.
NYI: Their fanbase will turn on Trotz sooner rather than later as he doesn't give the prospects time on the main roster.
NYR: Zibanejad regresses. They're centre core ends up haunting them. Fox doesn't break past top 4.
PHI: Best team in the division. They miss the playoffs.
PIT: They make the playoffs. Kapanen scores 30 but goes pointless in the playoffs.
WSH: They get swept in the playoffs with Ovechkin getting a goal per game.

100%. Trotz gets way too much credit when his lineup decisions hold back the team. Goaltending bails him out.

Tom kuhnhackl was a bottom 5 forward in the NHL last year and trotz talked him up all the time and even put him on barzal’s line after eberles injury. Meanwhile bellows/wahlstrom get demoted if they make one mistake

The islanders would be a better team if they fired trotz and hired gallant
